WHAT WE NEED

The role of the Maintenance Process Lead is to implement, maintain and continuously improve the Maintenance Work Planning & Scheduling program for their assigned line(s) which ensures the lines are not constrained due to the lack of technical capability or knowledge. The role provides a continuity link to other preventative maintenance systems or processes, and across other line teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance processes, preventative maintenance programs, an analytical approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Preventative Maintenance Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all production equipment and machinery.
    • Schedule regular inspections, servicing, and maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime and prevent operational disruptions.
    • Create and maintain detailed maintenance logs and records for all machinery and equipment.
    • Coordinate with production teams to ensure minimal disruption during scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Process Improvement & Optimization:
    • Analyze equipment performance data to identify opportunities for improving reliability and efficiency.
    • Work with maintenance and engineering teams to implement process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize machinery performance.
    • Identify and address recurring equipment failures or inefficiencies through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Adjust the annual PM calendar as appropriate. 
  • Maintenance Technician
    • As needed to determine changes to PM programs and perform root cause analysis, will perform preventative maintenance on equipment. 
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety standards, local regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Promote and support safety initiatives in the workplace, ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed in a safe manner.
    • Assist in the preparation of safety audits and assessments as required.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition, spare parts usage, and service history.
    • Generate detailed reports on maintenance activities and performance metrics for management review.
    • Recommend and assist in the procurement of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed to support preventative maintenance efforts.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to ensure the continuity of operations.
    • Provide training to maintenance staff and operators on best practices for equipment upkeep and preventative maintenance.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and process improvements.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in preventative maintenance in a manufacturing setting or role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar software to schedule and track maintenance tasks.
