WHAT WE NEED
The Senior Corporate Chef will drive the innovation of culinary products and platforms, through commercialization, for the organization. This position will collaborate with internal teams to increase customer opportunities (R&D, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Operations) through the development of prototypes and samples. Along with their culinary expertise and passion, they will inspire the organization to be more creative.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Create gold standard formulas and bench prototypes across categories:
- Fudges, Caramels, and Particulates
- Beverage Syrups
- Low Water Activity Fillings
- Savory Sauces and Condiments
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support brainstorming and ideation initiatives for assigned projects. (R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing)
- Contribute expertise on flavor development for new and existing products.
- Work with their manager to translate key strategic initiatives for all products and customers.
- Responsible for staying abreast of industry news and trends to assist with forming product strategies to positively impact the business.
- Execute innovation and enhanced capability presentations to customers.
- Create menu/recipes for culinary customer experiences.
- Acts as a liaison and articulates customer needs back to organization.
- Understand the customer’s operational platforms and develops product to meet their needs.
- Assume responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with key customers and supplier networks.
- Participate in product innovation sessions and consumer research sessions where necessary.
- Support organization of culinary kitchen and prep room.
- Ensure there is proper sanitation and safety in culinary facilities.
- Support culinary facility to include receiving, stocking, storing, and security of food and other supplies.
- Support maintenance for culinary equipment and machinery.
- Support inventory tracking and preparation for inventory control reports.
- Coordinate lab setup and supplies for work sessions and culinary events.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Associates degree in Culinary Arts, Culinology, or Certified Research Chef.
- Five (5+) years of technical product innovation experience.
- Experience with manufacturing and commercialization of liquid food products.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
