WHAT WE NEED
This position provides the safe transportation and storage of all ingredients, packaging, and finished goods through BRF’s facilities. Employees in this position are responsible for driving forklifts to load and unload trucks and storage racks, as well as storing and retrieving food products, equipment, or other materials to support food production lines.
Our Warehouse Team follows a 2-2-3, 12-hour shift schedule, providing a consistent routine for work-life balance.
This opening is for our Night Shift - 5:45pm - 6:00am.
Night Shift Differential = $1.50 per hour.
Sample 2-2-3 Shift Schedule:
Week 1: Work Monday, Tuesday - Off Wednesday, Thursday - Work Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Off Monday, Tuesday - Work Wednesday, Thursday - Off Friday, Saturday, Sunday
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Performs equipment inspection and documents any deficiencies as required.
- Operates forklifts and other equipment following BRF safety procedures. Maintains awareness of pedestrian traffic, docks, and racking conditions at all times when operating equipment.
- Inspects and takes necessary corrective actions to ensure that pallet condition and load stability of materials allow for safe handling.
- Follows all BRF Safety procedures and GMPs.
- Per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), receives vendor purchase orders, receives and transfers interplant product, locates product in storage locations, picks truckload and LTL orders in FIFO sequence, and loads truckload and LTL carriers.
- Accurately follows Bills of Lading and Pick Lists and conducts supporting transactions in ERP to update Inventory.
- Loads and unloads trucks within standard time allocation and follows specified load distribution instructions.
- Receives, verifies counts, and places raw materials into specified warehouse storage locations.
- Inspects work area and maintains housekeeping to GMP and Food Safety standards at all times within the shift.
- Assists as assigned in organization and cleaning of dock, rack storage areas, and facility. Reports to supervision any deficiencies that cannot be immediately corrected.
- Reports and takes actions required to correct or rework any damaged materials.
- Participates in internal audit programs and offers suggestions for improved operations.
- Inspects all incoming and outbound freight and trailer conditions. Takes corrective action as required to ensure delivery of freight in acceptable condition by following Shipping and Receiving SOPs and documented inspection procedures.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience driving a forklift in a manufacturing setting, including close quarters and high traffic areas, required.
- Clean driver’s license record, required.
- Forklift license required. Employees will be recertified through the training process.
- Language Ability: English fluency required to successfully speak, read, write, and comprehend directions in English and communicate with other employees in English as part of regular job duties. This position is required to complete position-specific documentation in English. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to enter information in English into a computer system.
- Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers with 10's and 100's.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Able to problem solve based on past experience and training.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of or the ability to learn RedZone and/or Tulip.
