WHAT WE NEED

The Maintenance Mechanic Lead will direct and coordinate all reliability and maintenance activities to ensure that maximum operational potential is realized for plant operation. This includes leading, directing, supporting, and training site maintenance technicians.

Our Maintenance Team follows a 2-2-3, 12-hour shift schedule, providing a consistent routine for work-life balance.
Hours for this role are 5:00pm - 5:30am.

Night Shift Differential = $1.50 per hour.   
Sample 2-2-3 Shift Schedule: 
Week 1: Work Monday, Tuesday - Off Wednesday, Thursday - Work Friday, Saturday, Sunday 
Week 2: Off Monday, Tuesday - Work Wednesday, Thursday - Off Friday, Saturday, Sunday  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Completes all tasks while strictly adhering to all required industry guidelines including but not limited to: SQF, Food Safety, Plant Safety, and audits.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to all maintenance team members on all shifts.
  • Must be able to work within the maintenance team to accurately communicate and document events by utilizing the CMMS System.
  • Responsible for overseeing and training mechanics and provides support where needed.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of machine upgrades and extended down time repairs
  • Trains all mechanics on new equipment according to the standard operating procedures
  • Designs, fabricates, and installs new equipment and enhances existing equipment through process improvement and upgrades
  • Facilitates finding root cause of problems or issues and completes necessary documentation
  • Ensures the proper utilization of CMMS system for Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities, work orders, and part issuance with timely and accurate data entry.
  • Performs and directs preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance of equipment including but not limited to; cleaning, inspecting, diagnosing, replacement testing and process improvements with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Lead OPM’s. Plan and schedule day to day and weekend work for team members. Verify work is completed through the CMMS System Platform with parts, time, and notes.
  • Identifies and reports needs for major repairs to the appropriate level of management and enters data into CMMS system and assists with coordination of work with them Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Lead OPM’s.
  • Calibrates and maintains electronics and instrumentations for process control devices.
  • Ensure company metrics are met and supports team and company goals.
  • Follows proper Good Manufacturing Practices including wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Embodies the GFTW mentality and effort by attending required meetings and bridging collaboration between all departments.
  • Able to work with direct leadership addressing all personnel issues and adhere to the proper escalation process.
  • Bring to team a continuous growth zero loss mind set and develop knowledge of all new technologies introduced to the site.
  • Fill in for the maintenance planner role when the maintenance planner is out. Create Purchase Req. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two-year associate degree, licensing, or equivalent trade school technical training in related field is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years related experience of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting required.
  • Prior experience mentoring and leading junior member of a team is highly preferred.
  • Experience driving process improvement, RCCA, development of preventative maintenance programs and ensuring proper documentation in all processes is highly preferred.
