WHAT WE NEED
We're seeking passionate individuals who are ready to operate a forklift loading/unloading trucks, storage racks, retrieve food products and help measure and package raw material to support the production process. As a team member at BRF you’ll be the driving force behind our success.
This opening is for our 2nd Shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm - Monday - Friday
2nd Shift Differential = $0.75 per hour.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Operates Forklifts and other equipment following BRF safety procedures. Maintains awareness of pedestrian traffic, docks, and racking conditions at all times.
- Performs equipment inspection and documents any deficiencies as required.
- Inspects work area and maintains housekeeping to GMP and Food Safety standards at all times within shift.
- Per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), receives vendor purchase orders, receives and transfers interplant product, locates product in storage locations, picks truckload and LTL orders in FIFO sequence, loads truckload and LTL carriers.
- Inspects all incoming and outbound freight and trailer conditions. Loads and unloads trucks within standard time allocation and follows specified load distribution instructions to ensure load stability of materials allow for safe handling.
- Assists as assigned in organization and cleaning of dock, rack storage areas, and facility. Reports to Supervision any deficiencies that cannot be immediately corrected.
- Reports and takes actions required to correct or rework any damaged materials.
- Participates in internal audit programs and offers suggestions for improved operations.
- Consult and coordinate with Supply Chain Planner regarding weekly schedule and cook cards to guarantee all materials are provided to production as needed to meet the scheduled production date.
- Utilize SAP to transact materials following the appropriate processes such as transfers, issues, returns, and inventory adjustments.
- Accurately prepare materials by writing on raw ingredient bags for weigh-ups corresponding with Cook cards.
- Ensure all allergen & organic materials are placed in corresponding-colored bags.
- Arrange weigh-up bags in order of use by Cooks; tracks all infractions on move sheet; and places bags on cart outside weigh-up room.
- File all job-related paperwork in accordance with department procedures.
- Review, verify, and adjust Cook cards for increases or decreases in batch size and color code cards accordingly.
- Follows all BRF Safety procedures and GMPs
- Report all incidents/accidents to plant leaders.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Minimum of 6 months of previous work experience or equivalent education
- Minimum of 1 year of Forklift experience in a manufacturing setting
- Forklift license required. Employees will be recertified through the training process.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred.
